what can I do about this situation?
I just bought a new Whirpool stainless dishwasher and it says in the manual that the normal wash cycle is apprx 71 min, but when I use the normal wash cycle it takes over 2 hours, I am unpleased that the time difference is so much. It also says that the rinse cycle is 10 min, but when I use it it's actually 10 min so I dont understand why there is a huge difference. I have made sure that all the water heater settings, etc are all good. can I sue them for false information? what can I do?
If you have just purchased the dishwasher it should be under warranty. Go back to the store and explain the situation. Perhaps, they need to send an engineer out to look at it. It could be faulty, that's not an impossibility.
If the problem can't be rectified, ask for a refund or an exchange for another machine.
You could also contact the manufacturer. They use words like "approximately" to avoid litigation.
