KitchenAid stand mixer overseas?
I just purchased my dream machine, a KitchenAid stand mixer, on my recent visit to the US. I am currently residing in Doha, Qatar. Here's my question: If my KitchenAid mixer is 120 volts A.C only at 60 Hertz ( 450 watts MAX), is it possible to use it in Qatar if the electricity voltage is 240 at 50 Hertz?
I read the manual and it says not to even use an extention cord! Not any kind of adapter or plug.. I'm scared to turn it on and set my house on fire! I waited 5 years to buy this and I am HOPING that there is some solution. I really appreciate any kind of feedback or advice. Thanks in advance.
an adaptor will work fine, make sure you get the correct one. the only thing you may notice is that it will run just a little bit slower. this is because 50 hurtz is not as fast as 60 hurtz. than again you may not notice it at all. still, you'll be fine.
