pc problems, need help?
i have had to downgrade to a NVIDIA GEFORCE 8500 GT due to my previous card going ka-put and i have been experiencing some problems while trying to connect to the internet and trying to play world of warcraft (which is all i have been trying so i could have other probs with other applications) its also slower then usual while trying to load up itunes. i dbl click on the desktop icons and it crashes my system and i have to press ctr-alt-del to end the program and i am not sure what the problem could be, i have a GIGABYTE MA780G-UD3H motherboard, a AMD 64 X2 7750 black edition processor, a COSMOS S CASE (which has 6 fans for cooling) and 2 gig of ram. any answers would be appreciative but im thinking it could be the card that i had to pick up quick untill i get a card that outperforms my 2900 xt that i had
all previous drivers have been deleted as i re-installed windows and my "new" card have the latest drivers
Sounds like it might be a driver conflict of some kind.
When you replaced your video card, you needed to remove the old driver and install the driver for this card.
I suggest that you go to the NVIDIA web site and download the latest driver for your GT and install it.
That is a pretty nice card, so you should be getting decent performance out of it.
