Which lens is best for sport, portraits, animals, & generally the better lens for the dollar.?
Hi out of these four lenses which is best for (sports eg power boat racing, cars, drag etc, football, fast action, animals etc... ) I want crisp photos. It will be on tripod someof the time, but mainly hand held, and basically what is best for the dollar ...the good and bad to all, they will be on a D90 Nikon. The lenses are....Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO HSM Lens or Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM for Nikon or Sigma Lens 50-500mm f/4-6.3 APO EX DG HSM (filter diameter 86mm or Sigma Lens 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 APO DG OS HSM. So if someone said i have these four, you can have one, which would it be, and why?. Thanks for all comments.
Go with Tokina over Sigma. The Tokina lenses are more solid in build quality, and have the same feel as a Nikon lens.
For the price of the sigma 70-200 you can get a used Nikon 80-200 2.8 D, not the AF-S.
The Tokina 100-300 F4 is a real solid lens, look for that one.
here's a shot taken with the Tokina 100-300:
