Donair sauce substitutions..?
I was making donair sauce and accidentally messed the recipe up *sigh*. sadly i used table spoons instead of tsp.. making my recipe of :
1 can milk
2 tsp garlic powder
2-6 tsp vinegar
3/4 cup sugar...
to a milky, garlicy .. acidic disaster.
I'm trying to fix it but unfortunately i would need 2 more cans of milk, which i don't have. all i have is 1% milk handy.
Any suggestions ? I have no cream or any heavy milk ( other than the 1%) which im a bit nervous about adding since it curdles in vinegar.. maybe mayo?...
Sour cream? Do you have any dried milk handy? Don't forget to add more sugar, you are essentially tripling the recipe. Will it freeze?
