Had a flat battery on Focus C-max - now have a continuous high-pitched beeeep, now that I've jump started it.?
Had a completely flat battery on my 54 reg Ford Focus c-max diesel auto. I connected another battery in parallel to re-start it. As soon as the car got a few volts back into its electrics I got this continuous electronic tone from the rear passenger (right) side INSIDE the boot. I've now left the car alone for 3 hrs and it's still making the noise. The car appears to be driving normally, and the remote central locking working OK now.
Any idea what it might be and how I can fix it?
Take to the dealer or Ford independent garage and get the fault codes read. Jump starting and charging with the battery connected can damage the electronic control unit (ecu).
