Food Steamer as Humidifier?
I recently suffer from nosebleeds and my friend suggested NOT to buy a humidifier but a food steamer (like the Black and Decker food steamer) because it can both cook and humidify while I sleep. Does anyone know whether this would be as good as a sole humidifier and does it work? Should I listen to her advice?
the water will boil away if if full to the top. Instead go to a thrift store and get one or both very cheaply..bring in a bottle of water with you plug it in and wait a few minutes to make sure it works. Most of them do.
If you want to cook while you sleep put cereal grains like oatmeal, etc or grains like rice in a thermos and fill with hot water and put lid on..add raisons or honey or whatever if desired. By morning it will be cooked and it will be cooked low enough temperature to retain many more nutrients.
