I totally agree with that.
I bought 3 choppers in the last 2 years and all 3 of them broke when my son dropped their lids on the floor.. so after buying the same choppers 3 times i wanted to invest my money in something durable.. but as u said they are not meant to last for more than 6 months
buy the least expensive one!! because they are designed to die in about 6 months. We live in a throw away society and small appliances are throw away things. Yes! My blender, an Oster, is ancient! But that was when things were made to last.
If things like this were made to last, the manufacturers would have less sales, so they just make shoddy stuff or import shoddier stuff from China!
