Bullet Reserve
If i join either AirForce Reserve or Army Reserve,if i want a discharge...?

ok so im 17, junior in HS, if i join the air force reserve(which seems really cool) and im doing my basic training... could i talk to my commander or what ever its called and leave? As in get a discharge because i dont want to be there anymore? like when i finish high school? I would attend all my weekends. but after high school id want to leave. How about with the army reserve? i heard the army its harder because they need more people in iraq so theyll say u have to stay and strap a m16 to u and throw u in the war like a bullet sponge. I just dont want a contract or anything to go to iraq. BUT, i want to do basic training till i finish high school then ill think about it if i wanna go to business college or airforce ...

?
Oh ok, so once u sign that contract ur owned for 8 years.

that,,, is some bulls$it.

ok thanks people, i think i might still speak to an AFR recruiter.

You might want to look into the JROTC so you get a taste of military life without actually be contractually obligated to join. You could do that for a year or two until you finish high school, then decide. However, if you actually join any branch of the military, national guard, or reserves, you are absolutely stuck in there for minimum 4 years active duty and will have to deal with potentially being deployed. You definitely don't sound like that's what you want.

Thank you for looking at our Bullet Reserve information.
